Frequently Asked Questions.
- What do I do if I am experiencing low water pressure?
- First check your meter and surrounding area for possible leaks.
- Second, call our office (see Link to About Us) and report low pressure.
- How do I determine if I have a leak?
- Every water meter is equipped with a leak detector on the face of the dial - sometimes it looks like a star, sometimes it looks like a triangle. Turn all the water off at your house and look at the leak detector - if it is turning with all your water turned off, you have a leak. If it is not turning, you do not have a leak.
- Why is my water milky in color?
- Milky color is typically caused by air in the water line. Fill a glass of water and let it set for a few minutes. If the water clears up, it is air. This condition is not harmful and will disappear within a few hours. Air can be introduced into the water lines during a main break repair and will disappear within a few hours.
- What chemicals does Culleoka Water Supply Corporation add to the water?
- Chlorine only, in very limited quantity.
- My water smells and tastes funny. Is it safe to drink?
- During the summer, an "algal bloom" occurs naturally in North Texas lakes. This introduces a grassy, earthy taste to the processed water. While distasteful, algal bloom does not affect the safety or purity of the water.
